Helping you comply with current UK & EU standards for health apps
With over 259,000 mHealth applications available across the main app stores, competition for app providers is fierce. Although the barriers to developing an app these days are relatively low, there are high barriers to getting an app adopted by the healthcare service.
Health apps have tremendous potential to help the NHS; for example, to achieve some of the transformation laid out in the Five Year Forward View. We work with the ecosystem to support this, working on your side and collaborating with healthcare organisations.
The National Information Board in the UK and the EU mHealth Steering Group are looking at this in more detail to create a framework by which apps can be assessed. Our Mobile Health have been working with both organisations on this framework, and as a result we are now creating the ‘best of the best’ database of health apps for organisations to use with confidence.
OMH would like to offer you the opportunity to identify your app as high quality with the potential to become part of a 'best of the best' database. Our process will to help you, as the application owner, understand what the health systems are looking for and which standards and regulations are applicable. We will help you develop your roadmap and keep you updated with all the changes in regulations to ensure your continuous compliance.
We'd be happy to provide an information pack about our assessment process, you can call or email us from our contact page.
