Tremendous response to call for digital interventions for Diabetes Prevention Programme - application deadline is now closed.
Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NHS DPP) is a joint commitment between NHS England, Public Health England and Diabetes UK.
The NHS DPP wants to develop the evidence base and establish the feasibility and effectiveness of digital behaviour change interventions to reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes.
The programme in in the process of identifying 4-5 digital interventions that have already launched or will be available within the next 3 months. These interventions will be offered as part of a pilot to around 5000 people across England. The programme will evaluate both the implementation of the digital interventions and the outcomes for people that have accessed them.
We invited providers and developers of existing health apps and online platforms aimed at reducing the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes to submit their products for consideration. The team are now reviewing all submitted digital solutions and will be moving on to the next stage of the project.
