Our Mobile Health and Parkinson's UK have partnered to create and populate a bespoke library of health apps and devices relevant to those living with Parkinson's
Call for Apps - contact us today if you have a suitable app or device
Our Mobile Health are delighted to have been able to work with Parkinson's UK, the leading charity for Parkinson's, to develop and launch the first dedicated apps and devices library to help those living with Parkinson's. All the tools featured in the library are designed to help people with Parkinson's with everyday life.
Parkinson's affects 145,000 people in the UK of all ages. In a first of its kind, the 'Tried and Tested' Apps and Devices Library offers technological solutions for managing Parkinson's symptoms.
App developers can benefit from the process to join the library
Each app and device in the library first goes through a rigorous independent review process used by Our Mobile Health to identify trustworthy digital health tools, before going into 'real-life' testing by people living with Parkinson's. This whole process, including in depth expert review and real-life testing, has been invaluable to all in the process.
Feedback has helped app developers to refine and improve their products to meet required standards and be of real value to the end users, all helping to improve the quality of apps and devices available to those affected by Parkinson's.
With more than 40 symptoms of Parkinson's and no new treatments for 50 years, Parkinson's UK understood the potential of technology to transform the lives of people living with long-term conditions like Parkinson's, if they could be helped to find trustworthy, relevant and effective digital apps and devices. The new apps and devices library facilitates directing those living with Parkinson's to apps and devices that they can look to access and use with confidence.
