Your health app assessment process
Self-Assessment:
We guide you through the relevant regulatory standards to ensure your application meets relevant requirements set out by the governing bodies.
Our self-assessment includes all the current UK standards and guidelines, as trialled by the NIB at the end of 2016. We can also give you advance insight into the likely assessment guidelines from the EU.
Report:
Once the app has been comprehensively assessed, we provide you with a full written report containing all the feedback on your app. At this stage, there may be changes necessary before we could recommend your app to be included in our ‘best of the best’ app store. We can help you incorporate these changes into your roadmap, and as your app evolves, keep you up-to-date with any changes in UK and EU standards.
Store:
Once your app has passed our stringent process by both technical and clinical experts, and met the standards, we will invite you to become part of our app store. Our ‘best of the best’ health app store is used by healthcare professionals for social prescribing, giving your app direct pathway into various healthcare organisations.
Benefits:
Once your app has been assessed and made it into our database, we continue to work with you, keeping you up-to-date on changes in standards and guidelines from both UK and EU sources. You can also have the confidence that you will continue to comply with the latest in Privacy standards and data protection.
Out of Scope:
The process provides a good overview of the application, however there are certain aspects that the process doesn’t cover, which may be recommended dependent on the type of app being tested.
